If you love reading and enjoy walking, then this could be just the book club you have been seeking...

Joining the group is free and new members are always made welcome. We do request however that you purchase your copy of the selected title from Seven Fables by way of booking your place and 'purchasing a ticket.' There is 'Walk Only' ticket option if you wish to share a book with a friend or prefer to listen to the audio version beforehand.

We depart promptly at 2pm from outside the shop where we return by 4.30pm at the latest.

A level of walking fitness is required, please wear suitable footwear and dress appropriately as we walk in all weathers. Bring a drink and a snack to enjoy, a flask is a good idea when the weather is cooler, and something to keep your bottom dry as we often sit on a mossy bank or fallen log!

Happy & sociable dogs are welcome. We kindly request short leads only, however once in the woods they may roam free, kept under close control.

2025 - A Fallow Year

Our Walking Book Club will be taking a rest this year as our desire is not to rush into making too many plans, filling our diary with commitments way in advance. We realise this will be a disappointment for many, but our hope is that this will give us flexibility to move with the wind and welcome new opportunities that may arise - we would like to leave a little wiggle room for fate to influence a creative 2025 at Seven Fables!

Our passion for reading will continue to inform the new publications that we choose to highlight, and we love nothing more than sharing bookish insights with Fable Folk who step through our door or are part of our online community.

Thank you to the publishers, authors and walkers who have supported the Walking Book Club since its first outing into the woods of Dulverton to discuss Picnic at Hanging Rock back in 2013, we've had some truly wonderful and memorable times.

Future events are on the horizon, including walks, so do keep your eye

on our newsletters for early updates and invitations.
